Montague Soapbox Races postponed to
Sunday, November 1; Noon start
The Montague Parks & Recreation Commission is accepting candidates to fill a current vacancy on the board. The commission is the policy-making arm of the Montague Parks & Recreation Department, and we are looking to appoint a Montague resident who is able to perform the duties of the office and serve until the next annual meeting/election.
Interested parties should contact the Montague Parks & Recreation Office at 863-3216 for further information. Deadline is Friday, October 30.
UNITY SKATEPARK
1. Lights Changing to 9:00p - Starting November 1, the skatepark lights will be turned back to a 9:00pm shut-off.
2. Water bottle filling station - in the next couple of weeks the water bottle filling station water line will be shut-off for the winter to prevent the pipes from freezing.
3. Sealing - Tailblock Concrete will be sealing the skatepark on Tuesday, Oct. 20 and Wednesday the 21st, weather permitting. The skatepark will be closed at that time, so please do not go onto the park. Sealing helps preserve the concrete for the long-term and is performed every two years. If this schedule changes, we will make the appropriate announcements.
