Youth Basketball Program

YOUTH BASKETBALL PROGRAM

REGISTRATION BEGINS: Montague Residents - Monday, Oct. 21

Gill Residents - Monday, Oct. 28

Non Montague/Gill – Monday, November 4

K-2 INSTRUCTIONAL BASKETBALL

When: January 8- February 12, 2025; Wednesday evenings; 5:45pm – 6:30pm

Fees: Montague Residents = $35 Non-residents = $40

Enrollment Minimum Per Group = 10, Max. = 18

Program may be separated by grade, depending on enrollment.

**Non-residents will initially be placed on a waiting list, and will be moved to the active roster if spots become available.

JUNIOR & SENIOR TRAVEL BASKETBALL PROGRAM

At this level, players enjoy the opportunity to compete against those from other towns. We are members of the Tri-County Youth Recreation League and play teams from Northern Franklin County, Southern Vermont and New Hampshire. Games are scheduled for Saturday mornings, with home games being played at Sheffield.

Separate Boys & Girls teams are typically created. However, combining levels and creating CO-ED teams may be necessary due to enrollment.

Junior Travel TeamsGrades 3 & 4

Senior Travel TeamsGrades 5 & 6

Fees: Montague Residents – $80, **Non Residents – $90

(Plus additional $15 game jersey deposit, not included in registration fee)

¨ Enrollment Per Team - Minimum: 8, Maximum: 10

¨ Travel team program is held from late November through the end of February

¨ Practice days & times are To Be Determined by the coach

¨ Multiple teams may be created if there is enough registrants, AND, if we are able to secure coaches.

Bluefish Swim Team


The Montague Bluefish Swim Team is committed to providing an enjoyable and challenging swimming experience for youth members of all ages and abilities, in an environment that encourages positive social interaction, emotional growth and skill development.

BABYSITTING COURSE  

Winter dates TBD for 2025

5:30pm - 7:00pm

Obtain the knowledge and resources to become a great babysitter!  This fun, interactive course teaches students first aid & safety skills, as well as helpful tips on how to prevent and respond to emergencies.  This is one class, two nights.

Who: Youths ages 11 – 15

Where: Community Room,

Montague Public Safety Building

Turnpike Rd., Turners Falls

Fees: Montague Residents = $40 

Non-residents = $45

Max. enrollment = 12

While our course is not sanctioned by the American Red Cross, we do follow their standards and practices.

Residents, Per Session: Youth = $3.50, Adults (18+) = $4.50, Sen. Cit. (65+) = $3.50

Residents, Season Pass: Youth = $46, Adult = $59, Sen. Cit (65+) = $46

Non-Residents; Session: Youth = $4.50, Adults (18+) = $5.50, Sen. Cit. (65+) = $4.50

Non-Residents, Season Pass: Youth = $59, Adult = $72, Sen. Cit (65+) = $59

*Open Swim may be delayed on the noted dates due to TFHS home, varsity swim meets.

à Patrons only charged if they enter water

à Youths under 12 must be accompanied by adult

à Season passes are non-transferrable

à Non-swimmers must wear a USCG Certified life jacket.

à If school is cancelled or dismissed early due to weather, open swim will be cancelled.
